Coming to Colombia for me has been such an adventure. I came with an open mind, and an open heart. Things worked out. That isn’t always the case, but when it is, it’s extra special. If you asked me today whether Colombia is safe, or Zika, or anything like that my answer is one of my favorite quotes:
“Buy the ticket, take the ride…and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well…maybe chalk it off to forced conscious expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.” – Hunter S. Thompson
To carry the point a little further I contacted several writers and bloggers in Colombia. I asked them the following question:
What is the best secret to know when living, working, or traveling in Colombia?
And without further ado about how exciting this project was, here are their carefully prepared answers:
What an amazing group of people. These are the type of people who are helping to change the world and inspire other travelers to take a wild chance and chase their dreams! I have also included a list of their blogs/websites in order of appearance in the slide show. Check them out, patronize their blogs, and take advantages of the services they offer. Together we are helping to open Colombia up to the world by creating an expert community who are here to answer all your questions and reveal the spirit of this beautiful land we have chosen to call home.
