Day 4 & 5 Reno Winter Bachata Festival

Travel

Whenever a group of like minded individuals gather, good things are bound to happen. And it definitely was happening on days 4 & 5 of the Winter Bachata Festival. As I volunteered and participated in workshops at the festival I bonded with other people who had so much passion and love for dancing that it inspired and fed my own. I learned some basic cumbe, kizombe and merengue, acquired stretching and toning skills and exercises, danced the latest Bachata steps from the Dominican Republic and watched the best Bachata dancers in America perform. I truly gained a lot of respect for the Latin dance art and culture by attending this event.
I also must compliment the people who managed the festival. Roberto and BB did an amazing job of planning and producing the festival. If you my dear reader ever feel a restless need to move your feet, BB and KiKi of Salsa Reno run a very professional and organized dance school. I would recommend them very highly to anyone interested in studying Latin dance in the Reno-Sparks area because their teaching is straightforward and very easy to follow. BB is very approachable and will answer all of your questions. And for anyone who didn’t go….you missed out partner!!!
